Disclosed is the extraordinary synergistic potential of combining two compounds each from selective estrogen receptor modulators e.g raloxifene and selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors e.g fluoxetine against all types of generalised seizures and/or generalised seizures with associated neurological disorders such as depression, obsessive compulsive disorder but not limited to these. The combination also demonstrated much better anti-seizure/anti-epileptic potential than existing standard AED i.e carbamazepine against maximal electroshock induced seizures in swiss albino mice.
