PRODUCT NAME: IBU-MINOPHEN.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: IBUPROFEN 200MG AND ACETAMINOPHEN 325MG, (or any other possible combination like 200mg Ibuprofen and 300/500mg/650 of acetaminophen etc)
INACTIVE INGREDIENTS: Starch, binder, disintegrator, color, preservatives etc
DESCRIPTION:
Ibu-minophen is a new product which is a combination of ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Combining these two ingredients into one results in, increased analgesic, antipyretic and inflammatory properties as compare to individual drugs. It also gives the advantages of fewer side effects such as liver and kidney damage as you use less tablets.
1 tablet of Ibu-minophen=2 tablets of 200mg ibuprofen
I tablet of Ibu-minophen= 2 tablet of 325mg of acetaminophen.
It is proven that when Ibuprofen and acetaminophen combined together they have additive analgesic, antipyretics effects but, their side effects profile are different and are not additive.
MECHANISM OF ACTION:
Mechanism of action of Ibu-minophen as same as Ibuprofen and acetaminophen. Ibuprofen and acetaminophen produced their analgesic and antipyretic effects by inhibiting cyclooxygenase (COX) pathway and thus blocking the production of prostaglandings (PG). Though both ibuprofen and acetaminophen block PG via COX pathways, their binding site are different, producing greater blockage of PG and results in increase level of analgesic and antipyretic effects when combined togather. Unlike acetaminophen, which does not have anti-inflammatory properties, ibu-minophen has anti-inflammatory properties.
Other mechanism like inhibition of nitric oxide pathway, activation of the descending serotonergic pathways may also be involved.

EXISTING PRODUCTS:
Advil, Motrin, Excedrin, Tylenol and several others with generic names but, none has the combination that is present in Ibu-minophen. In this sense, It is a unique and superior product which provides several advantages over existing products.

DOSING:
. Adults: 1-2 tablets 3-4 times daily if needed
Children: 12 years and older, 1-2 tablets 3 times daily if needed
Contraindication:
Do not use it if you are allergy to aspirin, NSAID and acetaminophen or have bleeding disorder, kidney or liver disease.
