My patented invention is designed to free an individual from the seat belt in case of being trapped due to a malfunction in the release mechanism and can also can be used to break the vehicle windows in case exiting through a door is no possible. The device can be easily integrated into the safety belt restraint system for cutting seat belts and breaking vehicle windows in an emergency. Currently, there are a few after-market tools on the market for this purpose, but their use is difficult and not as efficient as my device as they are not integrated into the seat belt restraint system. There is no OEM device currently on the market. Normally, with the existing tools, one must cut the belt at two places to release the passenger; one at chest height and the other at the waist, losing valuable time an effort in these kinds of situations. With my device; a single action will free the passenger from their seat belt entirely. Furthermore, as my device is designed to be integrated into the seat belt restraint system, its access is guaranteed while the devices currently available are often kept in the glove box making them in inaccessible when needed.
