RUBBER BALLOON FOR THE SUCTION HOSE OF THE WATER PUMP

[Category : - Lawn and Garden- Pumps]
[Viewed 113 times]

The use of rubber balloons instead of a non-return valve at the beginning of the suction hose of a water pump is described in three applications (patents). All three applications describe a way to use rubber balloons (decorative balloons for Christmas or celebrations) at the beginning of the suction hose of the water pump instead of a non-return valve. This entire system is used in narrow wells of 5/4 inches - 6/4 inches, such as in the pipes of hand water pumps and in other cases where there is a need for it. The rubber balloons that will be factory-made will be cylindrical in shape and have dimensions that correspond to the cross-section of the suction hose. The non-return valve is installed at the pump outlet.
When the pump is used above the pipe of the hand pump, the difference between the balloon system and the check valve at the beginning of the suction hose can be 20-40% in flow, since the effective area of the suction hose with the balloon at its beginning is more than 50% greater than the effective surface area non-return valve. (see picture) .
By using rubber balloons for the suction hoses of the water pump, the work of the plumber on the installation of the water pump is redundant. It saves on the work of the master (about three working hours), as well as on additional parts that connect the pump and the suction hose. Also, the pump is not fixed to the suction pipe so that it is possible to dismantle it after each use.

Investment Proposal
For Investors
I offer three forms of collaboration regulated by a Contract to prospective investors.Possible forms of future collaboration:
1.Patent Sale Future investors are offered complete ownership of all three applications, as well as technical and legal assistance in further stages of patent protection - national phase 30-31 months from the priority date.

2.License Sale for Production I offer technical assistance to the future licensee regarding the production of "Rubber Balloons for the Suction Hose of Water Pumps," as well as a permit for production for the global market and the batch size defined by the Contract.

3.Investment in a Cooperation Agreement I offer future investors a portion of the patent ownership, i.e., a co-ownership arrangement. All future investments in patents related to rubber balloons (fees in national phases, legal costs, etc.) are borne by the future investor. In return, the future investor receives a percentage of the patent ownership. The investor's share in the patent is initially defined by agreement and then by Contract.

What Needs to Be Done and How Much It Costs
The European Patent Office (EPO) issued an opinion - ISR after 14 months from the priority date. According to this opinion - ISR, it is necessary to change the patent title from "RUBBER BALLOON FOR THE SUCTION HOSE OF THE WATER PUMP" to the new title "SUCTION HOSE OF WATER PUMP WITH RUBBER BALLOON." Additionally, formalization of the application is required. The costs of lawyers performing this type of work are up to $1000.
Approximate pricing for protection in some countries:
USA - $1500
Europe - $6000
China - $1500
Canada - $1000
Brazil - $1000
India - $400
Japan - $1200
It is important to note that protection rights should not be sought in countries where there is no production of rubber balloons and latex productsFor one pump, several balloons are needed annually, ranging from 2 to 10 or more if the pump is mobile. The initial batch at the global level can be around 1,000,000 pieces. By the fifth year of operation, the batch size can be from 5-10,000,000 pieces and more on a global scale.

Note:About ten days before the publication of patent WO2024/039258, I received an email from the Chinese company -Golsione.com, CN-pvchose.com, a possible manufacturer of rubber balloons. The company is engaged in the production of suction hoses, but is not interested in purchasing a patent.
