The system utilizes two rigid roller chains located on either side of the elevator. The two chains are secured top and bottom and are pre-tentioned. The system travels along the fixed roller chains via two drive assemblies. The two drive assemblies consist of two heat-treated guide rollers and one heat treated outout chain sprocket. They are located on either side of the elevator. The elevator travels up and down the rigid chain via these two assemblies. They are drivin by a common shaft that is powered by an electric motor and transmission. Two braking systems are located on either end of this common shaft, inboard of the output drive sprockets. The two separate brake assemblies are spring activated and electrically released. The guide rollers travel guide rails placed on either side of the elevator. |
