Hand Luggage Reminder for Vehicle Passenger

This invention was made because many taxi passengers leave their belongings in the taxi. Private car users sometimes forget to take the things they should take when leaving their cars. Going back to their cars' park to take their things is inconvenient and waste of time.

According to the news report, in London, the reported cases of leaving mobile phones solely in taxis is about 10,000 per month. In 2012, 210,000 items were reported to be left in Tokyo taxis by passengers. Similar situations are expected to exist in other cities.

Beginning from early 2014, some Japanese taxis are equipped with cameras and equipment capable to release alarm call when there is passenger's belongings left in the taxi. It calls when the photos of the taxi back seat area taken before and after the passenger's ride are not identical. That alarm calls the passenger from outside the taxi back to the car to take his/her belongings. Its confirmed disadvantages are:
1) The cameras may capture a plastic water bottle, a piece of tissue paper or
other litter left by the passenger and cause the alarm. The driver cannot stop
the alarm call but has to wait for the passenger's return to check whether
his/her belongings is left.
2) It requires technician(s) to install it in the taxi.
3) It is expensive (installation cost per taxi: US$500.0).

This invention is better than that Japanese invention in some important respects:
1) Its call can be stopped at once by merely a press on a button done by the
passenger but not switching off the reminder (no need to re-press the button
to restore the call function). The time taken for checking if any item is left in
the taxi is relatively short.
2) It can be installed easily just by following its installation instruction and
diagrams.
3) Its cost is much lower (installation cost per taxi door is HK$120.0, or
installation cost for three taxi doors is HK$360.0 or about US$46.0).
It's function stable, waterproof, durable and never ignite any inflammable gas.

As passengers leaving their belongings in the taxi makes no loss to the driver and taxi owner, taxi owners are unlikely to initiate this invention installation in their taxis. But when there is the product of this invention for sale in the market, there will be public pressure demanding taxis to install this invention. If taxi owners demand compensation and maintenance of the installation expenditure, it is reasonable to levy an additional minimum fare charge on the passenger for riding a taxi with that reminder call service. Global taxi passengers will welcome this.

This invention can be a set of four parts to be mounted on individual car door of any car or taxi. It can also be a concealed equipment in manufacture cars leaving only two buttons exposed.

This invention is especially recommended to car manufacturers.

Payable after a certain profit is made by selling its market product.

Private cars also need installing reminder call provided by this invention. That can prevent things that should be taken away by their passengers leaving in the car and brings trouble as well as waste of time. The Japanese alarm call installation is inappropriate to be installed in private cars because there can be movable things on the car seat and can make a different image taken before and after a journey causing the alarm call's release. The additional manufacture cost of furure cars with this invention is very little. It will be welcomed by buyers.

Function 1: Only opening the car door from inside the car can activate a reminder
call or speech voice.

Function 2: The reminder call can be stopped by merely a press on a button but
not switching off the reminder (no need to re-press the button to
restore the call function).

Function 3: Closing the car door can stop the call automatically.

Function 4: If the door opener in the car wants to avoid the call for that time, that
button should be pressed with one finger and held with the
cooperation of another one or two fingers until the door's opening
displacement made by the other hand is at least 2 cm and
the door-opening handle returned to its original position.
There is a sideward push button switch for switching off the reminder.

Its demonstration can be provided as demanded and arranged by the investor.

There are two exposed cords in mounting the prototype demonstrated in the old video on YouTube. Its present design is much improved from that old design. For most car doors, the present invention needs only one exposed cord connecting two separate mounting parts. Its new installation method can avoid the marks left on the car door after the installation. Its market product will be much smaller and much more attractive than this demonstration prototype. The title of the old video on YouTube is: "Reminder for Things Taking Before Leaving Car/Taxi".

For a taxi with the driver's door-opening and door-closing switches, switches of a low cost reminder call installation can be attached to them for the passenger's leave. That call won't be activated by the driver's door-opening switching for the passenger's ride because the taximeter has not yet started. Its functions are basically similar to that of the former one. It can be waterproof and won't ignite any probably existing inflammable gas in its surroundings.

I am looking for an outright sale. Payable after a certain profit is made by selling the invention product.

Its old demonstration video with its old title "Reminder for Things Taking Before Leaving Car/Taxi" was uploaded on YouTube. The video is to attract investors but

Nearly all cars can install this invention. Its is especially recommended to car manufacturers because it can be a coneealed equipment in manufacture cars; the additional production cost will be very little and it will be welcomed by buyers.

I don't have specific conditions for the sale. Maybe that payable after a certain profit is made by selling the invention product is a specific condition.
