ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE
A peripheral device for use with a computing system is worn on a user’s fort or shoe. The device is similar in operation to a traditional “mouse”, but permits “hands-free” operation by engaging a foot rather than a hand. It has a scrolling mechanism, such as a roller ball or a scroll wheel on the bottom of the device, as well as right and left click bars on the exterior of the device that allow a user to perform right and left click functions by pressing the respective bar. Other features of the device include an infrared scanner system on the bottom of the device, a head on a front of the device to conceal the scrolling mechanism an the infrared scanner system, a battery pack area, an antenna, a USB receiver, and a barrier between a user’s foot or shoe and the scrolling mechanism.
