The invention comprises a device for attachment to the existing water supply tank of a motorhome or recreational vehicle. The device comprises a small fluid tight container 1 which is placed on top of the existing water tank 2. The container has a water inlet 18 and an overflow (20, figure 8), and is in fluid communication with the existing tank by means of a hole drilled in the upper surface of the tank. A plastic ball cock or float valve 13 passes through the hole so as to float on the surface of the water in the tank. Water is supplied to the container, and thus the tank, by means of connecting the tank inlet to a cold water pipe. The supply may be left on, with the ball cock blocking the supply of water when the level in the tank reaches a predetermined level.
