This new category of innovation allows the rider of a windsurf (or other gliding) board to remain attached and in control during gybes and other maneuvers, unlike the previous fixed strap system, which required a rider to remove the feet and reinsert them into other straps at the most critical times. Makes fully planing gybes much easier. The windier it gets, and the rougher the water, only increases the advantage being attached provides.

It's a great invention, I use it exclusively but have moved on to other projects due to the pandemic. Admittedly, it's a niche market that the big players have full control of and are "not invented here" mentality.
