Medical PORT/PICC ShoweRing cover

My wife (PICC/PORT user) and I have developed two (patent pending) shower covers out of a real need in the market for a product that can keep these dressings and tubing dry during showering. One is specific to the placement of the PORT needle and dressing, the other is specific to the placement of the PICC needle and dressing both are primarily the same other than shape they can also be adapted for other dressings! Both products have embodiments that make them obsolete compared to the embodiments of current products on the market, while staying competitive on price. The many groups we have spoken to and interviewed(Homecare nurses, PICC/PORT recipients, PICC/PORT teams etc.,) have expressed a very real need for a well thought out product such as ours since most other products leak. With our products being one time use disposable (7 covers per) the recipient will need numerous covers while accessed ( PORT is generally 2-3 weeks, PICC anywhere from an average of 1 month to 6 months ). These products feed the need we have even while accessed to stay clean, they marry the medical and personal hygiene markets. New uses for the PICC/PORT are being realized every day, last year 4.5 million people (nationwide) were implanted and by 2020 this figure is expected to almost double. We are looking to license our patent pending product and developing patent protection with licensee at a very modest royalty % (we have developed our prototypes with a class VI manufacturer whom is in a position to start production) or for the right price sell (as seen below price is negotiable! We also have two other products for the PORT market that we are pursuing through patent protection. We foresee that @ 5% of the market this patent could be worth (well Over) $40,000,000.00 for the life of the patent. I am a children's book illustrator and due to my wife's Cystic Fibrosis she is retired, what we want is to see this set of products on the market along with some financial security for our future! Our two covers were born out of ours as well as others practical experience and we wanted products that would help in making the users life more manageable giving better quality of life!!

Financial information

An ideal situation for us would be an Angel investor who could put up the capital needed for a percentage! We are are also open to licensing @7% with a monthly minimum to be negotiated along with a sign bonus, some of which to be used in the acquisition of a regular patent which both parties will work in tandem (no prior art has been discovered thus far!). We are also responsive to any reasonable offers for the purchase of our intellectual property rights. Our products are at the testing and prototype stage, all of our tests proved dry. The market potential for our products is substantial. As previously mentioned these products are far better designed than most dressing shower covers currently on the market, they not only seal around but they have an embodiment which offers a secondary level of protection unlike the others as well as a third embodiment to be disclosed to serious parties only! At 5% of the sales in this market we foresee a minimum of $3 million dollars per year. We are willing to discuss many options and would like to come to some terms in the immediate future so we are highly motivated sellers! We are also in the process of trademarking a name which will give an extra level of protection in the market!
