SITTING POSTURE SUPPORT FOR SPINAL ALIGNMENT AND COMFORT

This is a restraint free padded device that attaches to a chair in order to provide head, shoulder and arm support. There are four cylinder shaped cushions of which any two attach to the back cushion with hook and loop. The adjustable side supports enable the spine to stay more in alignment, easing pain associated with extended periods of sitting or leaning to one side.

Two cushions are placed in the lap and underneath the arms to support the arms and wrists. The five piece set is versatile and the large and small cushions may be interchanged depending on the need and the size of the user. This device may also be used in bed for positioning and for pressure relief, and under the knees and/or head for support.

With proper positioning there is less force and pressure on joints, breathing is less difficult and the spine is more aligned and balanced. I designed this device out of love and necessity for my mother who was leaning to one side and in pain from her spine being so out of alignment. Almost immediately she was sitting upright, with improved digestion, less pain and an improved sense of dignity.

This support system is made to fit Geriatric chairs and is adaptable to most any chair. The benefit of this device over anything else on the market is it's versatility, comfort and the idea that one or all five pieces may be used to meet the needs of the individual. This may be used in a chair, bed, vehicle or recliner for overall physical comfort, safety and pressure relief.

This five piece comfort system is for anyone of any age, especially those with physical challenges, to help improve their quality of life.
