a software that does symbolic algebra. that is the input is in the form of x^2+2*x+.....etc. and output in same form it can do many algebraic operations like algebraic long division if you divide x^2 + 2*x+1 by x+1 you get answer x+1 of course it is not limited to x of power two the equation can have as high powers of x as you like. it can also factorize so if you factorize the previous equation you get(x+1)(x+1), it can also find roots among many other functions.rni designed the software that utilized this algebraic engine in a calculator that not only solves symbolic algebra but the user can store in it algebraic routines that perform a sequence of tedious algebraic procedure on input functions.
