This patent involves a very simple concept: using wifi to replace infrared signals to transmit simultaneous interpretation.

Right now, infrared is the most common form of transmission, but its range is limited, cannot accommodate a great number of users (because every audience needs to rent a receiver), and not secured.

With this patent integrating into everyone's smartphone or tablet, there's no need to maintain thousands of infrared receivers, and hence the capital cost is low. In the meantime, this patent can be used on a conference tablet. With more function added, the service providers can charge more for one tablet but the marginal cost is very low.
