Like headbands? Ever have a favorite headband you've had to throw away because it broke? Need to make efficient use of space? Want a headband that is environmentally friendly? space efficient, cost friendly and can accommodate your outfits? Then you'll want the Interchangeable Headband Cover.

The Interchangeable Headband Cover is a device that will allow you to use one plastic headband and swap out the cloth covering. You'll be able to wash the cover when it gets dirty. If the base breaks you'll be able to keep the covering and throw away the base. There is a potential to have the plastic base made out of recyclable plastics making it more environmentally friendly. Because you only need one base you can save storage space as the covering is quiet small and easily stored.

I myself have always personally loved headbands but I have always faced the dilemma of lack of versatility, inability to wash dingy headbands, they take up a lot of room in a drawer. I actually came up with this when my favorite headband was broken. I loved the material and wanted to apply that to a new headband but it was glued on directly to the plastic. Well... that wasn't exactly salvageable. Off to the fabric store I went to find material that I loved. When I came back with my supplies I set out to make something to solve a problem for myself. When I have showed this to other people they insisted that I get a patent and thought it was a wonderful idea so I did. In fact I have been asked why haven't I applied to have my idea reviewed by the show sharktank (I've never seen the show). I don't know how many times I have heard this. It tickles me that people think it's a great idea.

The Interchangeable Headband Cover is an easily applied and removed material covering that sit on a C Shaped or Horse Shoe Shaped headband. A C Shaped or Horse Shoes Shaped headband typically is used to pull a wearers hair out of their eyes. The exposed area of the design is undecorated. The unexposed outer area of The Interchangeable Headband Cover has two insertion points with overlapping flaps positioned laterally of a fused center. The flaps open wide and enable the user to easily manipulate and apply the covering to a headband without any special tools. As you exam the insertion point closest to the internally fused center the design does not overlap but as you look laterally there is a gradual increase where the materials overlap more and more until there is one portion of the fabric completely covers the other at the internally fused tips.
