This Adjustable Clamp Headrest can be clamped onto any standard upright chair, reclining chair, or other sitting device that has a back support. It is mounted to the upper edge of the object's back support using an adjustable clamp. After securely mounting to the backrest, any one or all control knobs can be used to adjust the headrest pad higher or lower and horizontally to the desired position. By tightening all the control knobs the headrest will support the users' resting head position.

This device uses simple off-the-shelf mechanical hardware in a specific assembly arrangement so as to securely lock the headrest position. Readjustments are not necessary unless the entire headrest assembly is moved to another sitting apparatus.

Other headrest devices are either dedicated to specific chair models, or mounted onto the chair backrest via hardware making them permanently attached, or can only be adjusted in the vertical position, or for positioning or restraining the users' head. These devices do not compensate or adapt themselves to be mounted onto simple back supports or onto those chairs having no cushion or various cushion thicknesses.
