A three-phase vertical flat plate reactor that can operate as a gas-liquid or gas-liquid-solid reactor,
It's key feature is that it can be operated as a photo-bioreactor With relatively small volumetric gas flow and self agitating technique, the photo-bioreactor successfully provided extra mass transfer area through controlled foam multi-layers, and homogeneous high agitation (with no operating cost), utilizing the large trays as impellers. This invention successfully provides low-cost and high-quality performance, it’s suggested that the reactor may operate as gas-liquid absorption unit, gas-liquid continuous stirred-tank reactor, three-phase chemical reactor, or three-phase catalytic reactor, where the solid catalyst might be fixed to the outer/inner walls of the moving sieve trays.
