The novel pivot joint comprises of 2 interlocking plates with one place having a fixed ridge and the other plate having a series of grooves. When the 2 plates are assembled, the placement of the ridge on one plate into a corresponding groove on the other plate determines the ability to adjust the dimension of an object that uses the pivot assembly in its functional mechanism.
