This fender is great for preventing rooster-tails, rain, slush, dirt and small gravel from getting on the riders back. It is easily installed with just a thumb screw and can extend from 7" to 21" by sliding it to the desired length. Can be manufactured at a very low cost using PVC plastic, fiberglass or light weight metal. Can be manufactured in various colors.
It is light weight and can be removed easily and stored on the bicycle frame cross bar or in a back-pack. It is very cost effective. Many Mountain bikes are manufactured without the rear fender, this will be a plus for the rider in safety, cleanliness and ease of use.
