Chemical Free Microbial Fungicide
[Category : - Agriculture]
[Viewed 47 times]
A media formulation and process used to induce (force) bacteria to produce plant hormones that encourage plant growth, increase root elongation, and inhibits fungal infections in plants and their fruiting bodies.
The bacteria convert plant waste products, including ethylene and cyanide into volatile plants hormones. Bacillus species cultured in the media produced 10-15% more indole acetic acid (a plant growth promoting hormone) than commonly reported for the species in literature. Cells maintained at -4C maintained productivity for over 5 years.
