Electrostatic power generator without mechanical drive

Proposed design of a system for generating electricity. The source of energy in this system is the energy of the Earth's electric field. The prototype of the proposed generator is the well-known Methernitha Electrostatic Generator, described, for example, on the websites Link and Link (see Fig. 1,2,3,4). This generator has been in operation since 1943 and produces a power of about 7 kW. Its main advantage is that it does not use visible energy sources. However, its device has not been described and so far no one has been able to repeat it. But even if there is a detailed description, it cannot be repeated, because the principle of operation is not known and the actual source of energy for it has not been established.

In the article “Electrostatic Discharge Tansformation”, Electrie, No. 5-8, 2003, Berlin, ISSN 0013-5399 (see Fig..5), it is shown that as a first approximation, the design of this generator can be represented as consisting of
• an electrostatic generator, which is significantly different from the Wimshurst Machine and rotates independently - without a mechanical drive,
• energy converter of high-frequency discharge from an electrostatic generator into a constant voltage, which is used to charge capacitors,
• capacitors (Leiden banks), which store energy for recharging the electrostatic generator and for the consumer.

During operation of the machine, there is always charge on its disks. As it rotates, the charges flow between the sectors, creating a pulsating electrical voltage across the output contacts connected to the voltage converter. It is important to note that in any position of the disks, the opposing charges of the disks always have a different sign. Therefore, they always try to push off from each other. This explains the existence of rotating forces. But the source of energy is not indicated in the prototype, which gives the experts reason to assert that the device cannot function.

In the prototype, the disks rotate by the forces of interaction of moving electric charges. The author has proof that for a certain arrangement of charges, these forces are proportional to the cube of the speed of movement of electric charges.

In «About the Possibility of Using Gravitational Forces to Perform Work», Link it is proved that the electric field of the Earth performs work along closed trajectories of movement of electric charges, if these charges are not rigidly connected and between them there are forces that depend on the speed of movement of these charges. In the prototype, this phenomenon is observed: the electric charges of neighboring disks are not connected with each other and move. Long (about 70 years) operation of the prototype is an experimental proof of the above theoretical conclusion.

The proposed system becomes an autonomous source of energy for isolated cities and even individual small towns.

There is a mathematical proof of system performance, system sketches, diagrams, simulation programs. The author is looking for a partner to jointly publish a patent, develop an experimental version and sell a patent.

The first partner is offered 10% of the cost of the patent and inclusion in the list of authors as a second partner for 1,000,000,000 US dollars. This amount will be spent on patenting and manufacturing an experimental sample with a power of 3 kW.
