Adjustable Height Platform for 4-post Automobile Lifts

Most 4-post automobile lifts have a structural crossbeam between the side ramps at the front and back of the lift. These crossbeams are usually 6"-8" high and 3"-4" wide and technicians usually need to stand on them to reach into the engine compartment of a car. Standing on this crossbeam is physically hard on the feet and legs and can also be slippery to stand on. Sometimes the technician needs to stand on a step ladder to get high enough to reach into the engine compartment. Ladders are also physically hard and dangerous to stand on.
The AHP solves all these problems. The 12"X36" anti-slip platform sets on top of the crossbeam and has three height settings. The platform is held in place by opposing forks on both ends of the platform which straddle the crossbeam, which is the lowest height of the platform. For the medium height, two stop bars on both ends of the back fork pivot from a vertical stored position to a horizontal position. Hand screws on the front fork tightened against the crossbeam keeps the unit from wobbling. For the high height, fold down legs rest on the floor in the front and clamps to the crossbeam in the back with its own opposing forks and hand screws.
