Application no: IN 202221021300

FIELD OF INVENTIONThe present invention relates to the writing implement. More particularly it relates to the visual and auditory indication of the level of ink with the help of colorful ink level indicator in conjunction with an advertising window system in the writing device to intimate end user about the replacement or refilling of the ink. BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ARTThe concept of using a writing implement in the form of pen has existed since the late 19th century. The application substance in the form of ink is fed or flows inside housing of the writing implement and/or in refill housing or a reservoir located inside the refill. There is a problem in that the writing capability of the writing implement can suddenly fail for the user during a process of writing. Possible reason for this is: an emptying of the supply of application substance contained in the refill of the writing implement. It is the situation wherein the application substance has been totally used up from the refill. Due to this emptying of the remainder of the writing substance in the writing implement, there is often a gradual worsening of the writing image, which can last for several words, lines or even pages.Presently, everyone is using a pen whether he or she is a student or professional. In the early inventions, the ink was placed in a thin tube whose end was blocked by a tiny ball, held so that it could not slip into the tube or fall out of the pen. Pens have thick or heavy cover over the refill because of which the user is unable to check the refill status of the pen and once refill ends or is unable to write a single word then users come to know that refill has to be changed. To know if the ink present in the refill is finished or not, it becomes necessary to have an indication in refill. Pen Ink Indicator of gel point pens or other pens are manufactured using tubular metallic and opaque devices which always obstruct the view when one tries to see how much amount of ink has been used from the refill or how much ink remains in the refill which can be used. Transparent plastic devices are also made which present visual problems concerning the consumption or the remainder of the ink left in the refill. Existing technology lacks the means of intimation to the users about the status of the ink in the refill. Prior art patent documents in the field of pen ink indicator are known.Pen ink indicators offer many advantages over conventional refills, including vast improvements in changing the refill, adding extension to the existing refill and a much finer degree of user control over the process of refilling the ink. Some of the well-known advantages of these pen ink indicator writing devices are –1. Transparent plastic devices are also made which present visual problems concerning the consumption or the remainder of the ink left in the writing pen, since generally leftover ink remains adhered to the walls where it is kept.2. An extension for refills/writing implements with disposable replacement refills is useful for signaling the user about the emptying of the writing implement or its refill.3. Adding different aromatic substances to the refills/the ink, helps to add aroma and it signals the emptying of the ink level. The pen ink indicators facilitate a continued control of the consumption of ink and the remaining ink which this writing device uses. These types of indicators are used in perfecting techniques introduced in the manufacture of such writing devices as gel point pens or other pens. The pen ink indicators described in the prior art are too time-consuming and in particular, expensive, for disposable writing implements or writing implements with disposable replacement refills, are necessary in order to signal to the user of the writing implement the impending final emptying of the writing implement or its refill in the event of the sudden emptying of a main reservoir using the low filling level of a reserve reservoir. Moreover, the process shown in prior art is applicable to fluid writing substances and always requires interaction from the user, which in situations of time pressure, in particular, such as examination situations with intensive writing or when noting down spoken language synchronously, is associated with an obstructive delay. The present invention is used to provide a writing implement, wherein a further improvement in the known solutions is offered, or at least the disadvantages described above are reduced. Today, as a point of reference concerning the status of this technique, we can mention that ink holders of gel point pens or other pens are manufactured using tubular metallic and opaque devices which always obstruct the view when you try to see how much ink has been used or how much ink remains which can be used. Transparent plastic devices are also made which present visual problems concerning the consumption or the remainder of the ink left in the writing pen, since generally leftover ink remains adhered to the walls where it is kept. In first place, you cannot control the remainder of the ink to be consumed and at the same time ink is wasted which undoubtedly can never be used. Finally, it should be pointed out that when these devices do not show how much ink is left to be consumed, any difficulty in the writing or an instantaneous stop, leads a person to the wrong conclusion concerning the amount of ink which has been drained out of the inkwell. This in turn generates a further expenditure as the writing device is discarded.Consequently, the introduction of improvements in the manufacture of loading mechanisms or inkwells made for writing devices have been able to resolve all and each of the above-mentioned difficulties which are those most commonly found when gel point pens today are used. When ink is consumed slowly as the writing pen is used, the level of the ink will start descending the ink well and along with this ink the additional substance located at the end of the ink well will also descend, because the depression created as the ink descends will indicate in the same way the status of the substance located on the other side which will be in contact with the free end of the ink. However, this substance will never mix with the ink, because a mixture of both materials - if both were able to mix - would contribute to the loss of an undoubtedly practical value achieved by the addition of this product, if the final area or the end of the ink and the beginning of the marking substance faded away. Other than this, adjacent to the said additional substance the presence of multiple plastic and metal balls will result in generating a collision sound that will aid visually impaired end user in identifying the level of ink in the refill. In second place, this cartridge or ink well is encased in the body of the gel point pen or other pen, wherein a transparent window is positioned in which a sheet of strip sectioned in no less than two parts comprising at least two dissimilar colors is attached at the diametrically opposite location which will allow absolute observation of the ink well where the ink will act as in the same manner as if it were the fine tube of glass which contains the mercury in a thermometer, except that the ink descends and when the cartridge is filled all you will see is a dark color. OBJECT OF THE INVENTION Primary object of the present invention is to provide a writing implement with a provision of visual indication of the level of ink in the implement.Another object of the present invention is to provide a writing implement with a provision of auditory indication in the form of collision sound and olfactory indication in the form of an aromatic substance in the ink well of the writing implement.Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a writing implement enabling where the raw materials used are easily available in local market thereby making the implement cost-effective.Further object of the present invention is to provide a writing implement appropriate for the use by visually impaired individuals due to the use of auditory indicator. Another object of the present invention is to use the transparent window as an ink level indicator as well as a means of advertisement.Yet another object of the present invention is to provide a writing implement for suitably making the user aware about the ink level and alerting them thereby preventing the inconvenience at the time of writing.Yet the further object of the invention is to add fun element to the process of writing and to make the children more attracted to writing. The system involves an auditory effect brought out by the collision sound followed by implementing multiple spherical plastic (8) and metal balls (9) adjacent to the transparent glue material on the top of the ink column of the ink well (5). In the preferred embodiment of the present invention, two spherical plastic balls (8a and 8b) are placed on the transparent glue material above the ink (6); out of these two, one (8a) of which is embedded in the transparent glue material while the other (8b) is freely movable and it has been placed next to first plastic ball near the first opening (4a) of covering frame (2). The diameter of the spherical plastic balls (8) is lesser than the inner diameter of the ink well (5). Next to the spherical plastic balls (8) are placed the spherical metal balls (9) which are present in more than two numbers and also having the diameter lesser than the diameter of the spherical plastic balls (8a and 8b). The auditory indication for emptying of the ink (6) is achieved by two types of collisions occurring in the writing implement (1):1) The first collision occurs due to the colliding effect of the two types of spherical balls i.e. plastic (8a and 8b) and metal (9).2) The second collision occurs due to the upward and downward movement of these balls i.e. plastic and metal (8a and 8b) and metal (9) on the second opening (4b) of the ink well (5).When the ink (6) is present at its upper limit (301) indicated by green color, it acts as a sound absorber and there is minimal or low intensity of colliding sound. During the process of writing, ink (6) starts diminishing or achieves its lower limit (302) indicated by red color; then more space is created inside the wall of the ink well (5). As the ink descends, an empty space is created inside the ink well (5) which results in intensifying the collision sound. This availability of more space creates louder noise thereby alerting the user about the emptying of the ink (6).Further, the presence of spherical plastic ball embedded in the transparent glue material will create a pressure on the ink column. Moreover, the second plastic spherical ball and metal spherical balls create an additional pressure on the ink column. This cumulative pressure removes air bubble present in the ink column and results in the free flowing of the ink (5) to enable the user a continuous writing process without any obstruction. In case of occurrence of any type of air bubble, its disintegration can be achieved by the upward and downward movement of the writing implement (1) so as to clear it out. Further, the plastic spherical balls (8a and 8b) of the writing implement (1) of the present invention having similar diameter with that of the inner diameter of the ink well (6) prevents the backward flow of the ink and thereby eliminates the risk of leakage of the ink (6) outside the ink well (5) and ultimately outside the covering frame (2) of the writing implement (1).The other segment of the preferred embodiment is formed by the body of the gel point pen or other pen encasing the cartridge or the ink well (5). It is characterized in that a transparent window (3) is configured in its framework during its fabrication. The said transparent window (3) consists of a sheet of strip (3a) which is attached at the opposite side of the said transparent window (3). The said sheet of strip (3a) is sectioned in three parts; out of which the terminal sections are preferably represented in basic pair of complimentary colors (301) such as but not limited to green and red color respectively from the open end of the ink well. The middle section is used as a means for displaying any banner advertisement (303). The colors used for representing the terminal sections among the three sections can be picked up from any existing preferences at the time of fabrication of the body of the gel point pen or other pens. The basis of the said transparent window (3) is to act as a visual means of ink level indicator when the ink (6) level in the ink well (5) is at its maximum, the color indicated through the window (3) is green as perceived via the transparent glue material (7). Subsequently, when the ink (6) gradually descends the ink well (5), the green color (301) eventually appears clearly followed by gradual appearance of the section of the banner advertisement (303) and ultimately by the red color (302) in the similar manner as described. The visual perception of red color (301) suitably makes the user aware about the diminishing ink (6) level in the ink well (5) and alerts them about the replacement of ink well (5) thereby helping the user in process of continuous writing. In further segment of the preferred embodiment the aromatic substance (12) is incorporated inside the lid (10) of the writing implement (1). Shortly after removing the lid (10), the aroma spreads in the surroundings and is smelt by the visually impaired people and lets them know that they have to replace the refill since it’s the end of the earlier refill. The aromatic substance (12) used can be chosen from any of the obtainable preferences preferably from the class of organic esters. Adding different aromatic substances to the writing devices brings a fragrance of the substance applied to the writing device and signals the user that the imminent end of the ink is supposed to take place. This brings the functional aspect of the writing device for the specially challenged or visually impaired consumers. Proposed invention alerts and refreshes the mind of the users as well as it creates the curiosity in all users from various categories of age, especially in the children. The colorful ink level indicator in the body of writing implement (1) and smell employed in the lid (10) sets the user to equip with the new alternative or to replace it. This enables the user to be stress free, to save time and effort during a process of continuous writing. The raw materials for bringing out an auditory as well as visual effect in the ink of refill are cost-effective and easily available in the market or effortlessly fabricated. This invention makes the children more attracted to writing. Before the exam or official drafting work, use of the writing implement (1) and method for detection of ink level saves time, efforts and ultimately maintains stable psyche of the user.Pen Ink Indicator of gel point pens or other pens are manufactured using tubular metallic and opaque devices which always obstruct the view when one tries to see how much amount of ink has been used from the refill or how much ink remains in the refill which can be used. Transparent plastic devices are also made which present visual problems concerning the consumption or the remainder of the ink left in the refill. The visual effect of the present invention for determining the ink level is due to the transparent window (3). By the detection of a green color (301) across the window, the user is assured of maximum ink level while the detection of red color (302) intimates the user of declining ink level and thus to keep the alternate option ready or to replace the ink cartridge/well. Further, the auditory effect of the present invention is due to the intensity of collision sound caused by the striking among the spherical plastic (8a and 8b) and metal balls (9). The augmented severity of collision sound suggests the user of decreased level of ink (6). Moreover, the collision of these plastic (8a and 8b) and metal balls (9) on each other and ultimately on the second opening (4a) creates an additional sound. The aromatic effect of the present invention is due to application of various aromatic substances onto the internal surface of the lid for indicating the emptying of the refill as an aromatic indicator. When the aromatic substance is applied to the internal surface of the lid, it evaporates and is detected easily. This is detected by the user during the writing process as a decline in the potency of smell and/or absence of a smell. While considerable emphasis has been placed herein on the disclosed embodiments, it will be appreciated that many embodiments can be made and that many changes can be made to the embodiments without departing from the principles of the present disclosure. These and other changes in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be apparent to those skilled in the art, whereby it is to be understood that the foregoing descriptive matter to be implemented is illustrative and non-limiting.ADVANTAGES OF THE PRESENT INVENTIONThe features that make the proposed invention advantageous are disclosed below:1) A writing implement having a method for detection of ink level employed with an auditory, visual and aromatic effect is manufactured in an indigenous manner using locally available raw materials making it highly affordable and economical in terms of saving time and efforts. 2) The writing implement also provides a means of banner advertisement which has been placed in the middle part of partitioned strip affixed on the inner wall of the covering frame for attracting consumers for commercial benefits. 3) The writing implement having a method for detection of ink level is intended to enable the user to complete the process of writing without facing any type of stress and losing a tempo of writing.4) The pen ink indicators of the proposed invention find applications as writing devices for benefitting the various types of end users at an academic, industrial and various levels where writing is the primary requirement.5) The auditory effect employed in the refill, the visual effect employed in the transparent window system of the body of the writing implement and aromatic effect employed to the interior surface of the lid alert emptying of the ink to all types of users having one or other sensory deficiency.6) This invention makes the children more attracted to writing and creates a fun element during the process of writing continuously for longer hours.7) This invention helps to discard the traditional step of using plastic tips over an unused ink well since it employs third set of spherical ball inside the lid for acquiring knowledge by the user for validation of unopen-ness and newness of said writing implement thereby makes this invention environment-friendly. INVENTIVE CONCEPT The novelty and key inventive features for present invention would fall under multi-pronged approach:1) The writing implement of the present invention having auditory effect caused due to collision sound of two types of spherical balls employed in the ink well cautions the user to equip with the new alternative or to replace the writing implement since it alerts the user about the emptying of ink before finishing it.2) The writing implement of the present invention has a specially designed transparent window employed in the covering frame of the writing implement that is used as a colorful ink level indicator. A sheet of strip partitioned in plural parts having pair of basic complimentary colors is affixed at the inner wall of transparent window.3) The writing implement of the present invention magnifies and recognizes a color and a text making it clearly visible through the glue material and regaining earlier position of a color and a text making it clearly visible through the transparent window as the ink level diminishes.4) Moreover, the spherical plastic ball of the writing implement of the present invention embedded in the transparent glue material creates a pressure on the ink column. In addition to this, the second plastic spherical ball and metal spherical balls also create an additional pressure on the ink column. This cumulative pressure removes air bubble present in the ink column and results in the free flowing of the ink to enable the user a continuous writing process without any obstruction.5) Further, the plastic spherical balls of the writing implement of the present invention having similar diameter with that of the inner diameter of the ink well prevents the backward flow of the ink and thereby eliminates the risk of leakage of the ink outside the ink well and ultimately outside the covering frame of the writing implement. While considerable emphasis has been placed herein on the disclosed embodiments, it will be appreciated that many embodiments can be made and that many changes can be made to the embodiments without departing from the principles of the present disclosure. These and other changes in the embodiments of the present disclosure will be apparent to those skilled in the art, whereby it is to be understood that the foregoing descriptive matter to be implemented is illustrative and non-limiting.
