We’ve all seen the traditional themed and characters beds made from hardwood, metal, and polymer but what if there was a safer, inexpensive alternative? Would you want to be the first to sell it?

I am an independent product developer with an innovative product that will revolutionize the children's novelty bed market. As you may know, novelty beds are a popular choice for parents who want to create a fun and imaginative sleeping space for their children, and often feature popular characters and themes from movies, TV shows, or books. These types of beds are often made of wood, polymer, or metal and feature bright colors, fun shapes, and novelty elements that make them appealing to children.

My patented product, MegaBed (working title), takes the novelty bed concept to the next level. It is made of stretchable, breathable material with removable cushions that cover the tops and sides of the headboard and footboard, providing a safe and comfortable play area for children. MegaBed is designed to simulate a particular object, such as a dollhouse, car, or boat, and comes with accessories, markers, and attachable toys that correspond with the theme.

To sleep, the MegaBed is opened using a zipper and rolled down to the footboard where fixtures are used to secure it. The MegaBed grips the bedframe on all sides with little to no space between the mattress and the MegaBed when it is opened. When the MegaBed is closed, a soft flexible rod is used to lift the middle of it to alter its appearance into a novelty bed. One side of the MegaBed shows the exterior of the simulated object while the other side shows the interior. Storage pockets are on the footboard and headboard and zippers are strategically designed into the theme to allow access to guard rails, the mattress, and underneath the bed.

MegaBed is an innovative and safe alternative to traditional novelty beds for children between the ages of four and eight. It would be a great new toy for your company, especially if it features popular characters from your current toy line or video games.
