A face mask retention system comprising:
The ear device is made up of two parts. The upper part is designed to be hooked over the intertragical notch of a wearer’s ear. The lower part has one or more extended parts that are designed to engage with one or more elastic members.
The face mask has one or more elastic bands attached to it to hold the mask securely on the wearer’s head by transferring the force needed to keep the mask in place to the upper part.

At the same time, mask retention system and ear buds such as Android and Apple earphones need to be compatible with wearing both a mask and ear buds at the same time.
In addition the ear device should have a form that makes it easy to stow it in a pocket, bag or the like when not in use together with the mask.
