The object of the present invention is a urea-carbon composite granule with at least one defined layer of carbonized particulate material directly bound to a urea granule without the aid of any binding material or any binding layer between the urea and the carbonized particulate material.A further object of the present invention is a method of manufacturing the urea-carbon composite granule according to the invention and a fertilizer comprising said urea-carbon composite granule according to the invention.
