Wearable Interactive Augmented Reality Device
[Category : - OTHER]
[Viewed 48 times]
The present invention relates to wearable augmented reality (AR) devices, and more specifically to glasses that display 3D virtual objects in real-world environments using a mirascope-based optical system, integrated hand gesture recognition, and head-tracking and motion sensors to interact with virtual objects.
Augmented reality (AR) devices, such as head-mounted displays and smart glasses, are increasingly used for immersive visual experiences by overlaying virtual content on the real world. Conventional AR glasses typically rely on transparent displays, waveguides, or projection-based systems to render virtual objects. While these systems can superimpose digital images, they often suffer from several limitations:1. Limited 3D realism: Many existing AR devices display 2D images or poorly rendered 3D visuals, which do not convincingly appear as physical objects in real space.2. Bulky form factors: Current solutions often require large optics, projection systems, or multiple layers of waveguides, making glasses thick, heavy, or uncomfortable for prolonged use.3. Limited interaction methods: While gesture recognition and motion tracking have been explored, integration into lightweight glasses is often incomplete, requiring external sensors or handheld devices.4. Fixed perspective issues: Traditional AR displays may not adjust dynamically with the user’s head movement, resulting in distorted or unnatural visuals.
