I live in Wisconsin, and screw in style hangers are illegal in any public land. Besides being illegal, they seem to want to unscrew from the tree when I hang a rifle on them.
I have come up with a design for a quick simple solution to this problem.
The strap on hunting hanger is a hanger for your gun or bow that takes literally seconds to connect to the tree and is more stable than any screw in style on the market. It uses a standard cam-buckle strap and a cam style locking mechanism to cinch it to the tree so it is locked on and sturdy. It weighs about 2 lbs and folds up to fit in a pack. I have personally sold over 100 units just by word of mouth in 3 weeks, and have people begging for more. Unfortunately I do not have the capacity to build the kinds of quantities the market will demand. I have had people tell me it is the next best thing since sliced bread. This hanger is fantastic for crossbows, and can be used without damaging the tree therefore it is legal anywhere you may need it. This unit is not just for hunting. Use it wherever you need a lantern or a hanging plant. I keep one with me wherever I go especially for night fishing and camping to hold my lantern. I have also used it to mount a camcorder for recording videos of deer.This mounting system is endless.
